Background

Users are relying more on content-streaming apps and are demanding more value from the services .

Goal

Build an experience that helps users explore, find, and learn about relevant content by leveraging an ecosystem of publishers, brands, producers, etc.

Insights

More content, more content-streaming platforms. Users expect variety, robustness, and relevance..

Problem

How might we bring users together in one place so they can chat amongst friends, watch movies together, and browse for curated content across streaming services?

Content is expanding out between various services, and many new shows are coming out, having a place to manage all that content will be essential. Our goal is to bring users together in one app to chat with friends, watch movies, and browse for curated content across streaming services.

Low Fidelity

We prioritized function and usability for all users.
We desired to have all six user stories find their place within our app.

Summary

During our first round of interviews and usability testing, we discovered that we could improve existing features and add plenty of new ones. Additionally, we will look to update and fix the broken links, calendar feature, and button placement, add customizable playlist features, and make chat more user-friendly.

The second round of testing rendered great overall positive feedback. There were minor edits for us to make and ideate on and implement. We reviewed feedback and sought to compare users' wants with their needs and how their desires fit within the user stories and our app. Overall, we think our core ideas and implementations are a solid foundation, but we have plenty of work to do moving forward toward the subsequent phases of our development.

Next Steps

&

Our next steps will be to review our recommendations and see how and where we can feasibly work them into our design and continue improving our current features. We want to research more about how users feel sharing their subscriptions. Overall, we think our core ideas and implementations are a solid foundation, but we have plenty of work to do moving forward in the subsequent phases of our development.
